no, this saved 5MB

and regarding /usr/lib/locale/locale-archive I guess it's the biggest elephant 

-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 106M Jan 11 15:02 /usr/lib/locale/locale-archive

but I can't remember how much did it save

stripping "/usr/share/i18n/locales/" saved 7 MB

and "/usr/share/zoneinfo/" saved 6 MB
